These mentions come from automated name-matching of Colorado's seven water courts' monthly résumés against the census: the automated matcher found the company's name in the filing's raw text under strict rules: every word of the registered name, in order, with only spaces or commas between them — matching is case-insensitive, treats “&” and “and” as the same, treats punctuation inside the registered name (hyphens, apostrophes, periods) as word breaks, and ignores a leading “The” — never a fuzzy match. When the registered name ends in a legal-form word, that word is required too (“Park Ditch Company” requires the word “Company”; a bare “Park Ditch” mention can never trigger it) — with one abbreviation family: where the name ends in “Association” or “Assn”, the filing may use any of “Association”, “Assn”, or “Assoc”.
